It is now everyone’s favorite time of the year: baseball season. Players, coaches, and parents alike all look forward to that first day when the Hornets’ baseball team takes their bus ride to Fred Hills. This year, March 6th marks the day our season begins, and we are coming back with a better outlook than ever before.

The Hornets have been on an upswing the past few seasons, and this year we are going to show everyone that true Hornets Baseball is back and better than ever. Our season begins with a trip down to Florida on April 4th where we will be playing at ESPN’s Wide World of Sports. This will be a great way to kick off our season.

The greatest advantage that the 2015 Hornets Baseball team has coming into this season is the amount of returning varsity players. The varsity team includes seniors Matt Amador, Vinny Botti, Tyler Carrone, Alex D’Aloia, Anthony Degrote, Brian Dillon, Casiano Franco, Tyler Hablitz, Casey Hanley, Tyler Van Riper, Alex Veltri, and Chris Vogt. This group of seniors has been playing together for many years now, and it will truly show on the field. Along with the seniors, the Hornets will have the help from the returning letter winners from last season; Brendan Damiano, Nick Galese Alex Madonia, Spencer Perzely, Carlos Morales, and Joey Savatierri. This group of boys will definitely have a big impact this season, and they represent the future of Hornets’ Baseball. We also cannot forget our manager Brandon Grieg, and our stat girls Briana Mezzina, and Sydney and Brooke Lawson.

Having a positive outlook is imperative to having a good season; however at the same time we must stay humble, and realize that we are not going to achieve what we are capable of without hard work and dedication. This group of players, with the help of our amazing coaching staff, reliable manager and stat girls, and supporting patents, will be able to do great things in the 2015 season.
