Game Recap

The freshmen baseball team dropped their first game of the season on Friday at West Milford. Pitchers struggled to find the strike zone during Friday’s game, allowing 9 walks in just six innings. After being down in a 2-0 hole early, RBIs from Steven Newbury and Shawn Stampe tied the game at 2-2 in the second inning. Newbury and Stampe came through again in the fourth inning with RBIs to put the Hornets ahead 4-2. However, Javin Pinales couldn’t get the save allowing four runs on five hits and two walks in the the bottom of the six. The Hornets stand at 2-1 on the season.
